Why is it that every 19th Century baseball card shows the base runner getting tagged out? This unknown base runner obviously gave it his all, he actually caused the infield to buckle. Paul Cook played 7 seasons primarily as a catcher, but he doesn’t show very good form in making this play. He’s not blocking the cardboard cut out….errr….home plate very well, and seems more concerned with the camera than the base runner. I do like the flimsy chest protector, and the fact that he just might have his cap on backwards.
